Like the blessings of spring and summer, every year we look forward to High Sierra Music Festival. This once a year event, brings the best live music experience in North America. Among those blessings, is Lettuce. A funk juggernaut of sound and a driving dance euphoria. With bass lines approved by Dr. Dre himself, this band of 7 rage and crush like no others. Lettuce rocks parties and their new album Crush is out now on Itunes.

The first time I seen Lettuce was at a High Sierra late night show years ago. The California Honeydrops kicked off first and drove the crowd into a frenzy with an encore 2nd line parade through the audience. With electric vibes buzzing, Lettuce took the stage and drove the party even higher. It was a soul shaking good time that me made fall in love with the sounds of High Sierra. Eric "Benny" Bloom talked with us about how he first got involved with Lettuce. He tells us about having to learn all the Lettuce tunes in three days by ear. He is a gracious cat and an awesome host. His laser sharp trumpet paired with that Zoidis sax makes for some super Shady Horns.
